Fairtax4me
I know. You unplug it with the engine off, then start it and you can drive. All 2.2 Auto trans after 94? have EGR, 2.2 manual typically doesn't until 97 or 98, then all 2.2 also have EGR AFAIK. And all 2.5 engines have EGR regardless of trans type. TheLoyale
Pulled a MAF off a '91 Leganus sedan at a junkyard, seemed to cure the issue. I could have figured this out a week ago if I have extra parts to throw at it, I don't have that luxury.

eulogious
Or get a gen 1 Leggy instead... ea82 is NOT the best car ever , unless it's free I love'em, but the gen 1 leggy is sooooo much better its really not even funny. I will never have an ea82 for a dd again after buying my gen 1 leggy, if I can help it that is.
xbeerd
ea82 is NOT the best car ever , are you feeling ok? i agree with ya, but i like the overall looks of the ea wagon better than the legacys
TheLoyale
are you feeling ok? i agree with ya, but i like the overall looks of the ea wagon better than the legacys I prefer the looks and the engine layout more so then anything after the EAs. eulogious
If we are going off of looks, then both the legacy's and EA's are UGLY AS SIN I am not going to lie about that BUT, I was not referring to looks, I was referring to functionality and reliability, and that's where the leggy's shine The one thing about the EA's that is really nice though is that they are smaller in every aspect, including price. The legacy's are big compared to the EA's in every way as well. But I digress... Either way it's good to know that a MAF can cause all sorts of problems, and that it's easy to just swap it out. Glad you fixed it man!
Olnick
If we are going off of looks, then both the legacy's and EA's are UGLY AS SIN Gotta disagree with you there my friend. I think my EA82s and the First Gen Legacy were very attractive cars. They were (are) an extremely clean, neat expression of a functional no-nonsense vehicle. And the more I drove them the more beautiful they became. Ah, but beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.
TheLoyale
Ah, but beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Outstanding! On that note, this thread is over and there is no point in gauding it up with off-topic.
