bonvo
well i tried to tune it today and im thinking the carb needs a rebuild
bonvo
carb rebuild kit on the way i was very tempted to pull the weber 32/36 off of my 610 just to drive it but decided against it considering i cant take my only running car apart untill this one is reliable so ill rebuild the carb and run it this winter then then next summer when the datsun has its twin side drafts on it the subi will get the weber i must say i love rockauto.com even with shipping the parts are still cheaper then the parts houses
bonvo
tore the carb apart it was digusting i also drained the fuel tank because there was water and old fuel in it so with a rebuild and fresh fuel it should be good to go
bonvo
rebuilt the carb and took it for a drive talk about a gutless wonder thing can barly get out of its own way but i love it lol
biffanyus
Nice!!!! I took my Brat out for a ride tonight as well.... I just love cruising around in it and having so many heads turn wondering "what the hell is that" or the older folks with the "I havent seen one of those in a long time" looks on their faces... bonvo
yeah still a few things that need to be done like i need to make the fuel pump work on its own rather then an alligator clamp on the positive side of the battery make it so the tires stop going flat (leaking from the bead) but other then that im basicly ready for winter in my little 4x4

Soobie-ruu
My 1979 subaru wagon doesn't have the odd lug size I put ea81 white spoke stock rims on it the only problem I had was they're wider so I had to use wheel spacers. That and I converted mine to run off propane, I love my 79 goes any where in the snow
bonvo
wouldnt that still be the odd lug pattern? the typical 3 lug pattern is 4x41/2 for most rwd cars and 4x4 on most front wheel drive
