92_rugby_subie
Anyone put Rally Armor mudflaps on an EA series vehicle? I had an idea that would be pretty awesome but Im not sure if they would fit... Do you just trim them or custom order them?
1982gl4
You just trim them, I didn't have to at all on my 92 lego so you may get lucky and not have to touch them. I would just get their universal kit and get some hardware at a local store to put them on (I just used stainless self tappers) I would also go with the urethane ones, I have the harder ones they offer on my WRX and they rattle around, and drive me crazy, whereas my urethane ones on my lego don't make a sound. My brat will be getting a full set soon enough but I need to get it running before I spend more money on how it looks. Turbone
Prepare yourself for sticker shock, unless you buy used.
92_rugby_subie
I wish Id looked at this a few minutes ago... I... am speechless... $200 for universal!? http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/rally-armor-universal-motorsport-mud-flap-p-326.html My idea was to do a 5 lug swap with a white rally armor mudflap (since Ive seen red, figured theyd have white, but guess not?) and white wheels... This will definitely be a far off project... I figured like 50 for a whole kit... not 4x that :/
1982gl4
Yeah they are pricy I got these for my lego and I really liked the looks of them. The one's you looked at have a larger decal, I'm assuming that's the only difference in price..... http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/universal-urethane-rally-flap-white-logo-p-273.html
92_rugby_subie
I looked at those... Im not sure how theyd look on my car though... Im keeping the original color #646. What wheel would look good (Ill probably stick with Subaru wheels, like Legacy, GT, Impreza etc)
tractor pole
what about these? basic black looks good on almost anything http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/universal-basic-mud-flap-p-274.html
92_rugby_subie
Those are nice, but I wanna stick with the urethane like 1982GL4 mentioned...
obk25xt
Have you seen the ones on my blue car? I have a bunch of material that can be used to make mudflaps. It's soft and flexible. I made mine as extensions to the oem ones but I'm sure you could make complete replacements as well.
92_rugby_subie
What did you use? Like what kinda material?
obk25xt
I dunno..... Rubber..... I could say it's urethane and you'd probly believe me by the pliability of the material, but honestly I'm not sure what grade rubber it is. Look at post #24 in this thread....... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=114061&page=3&highlight=finally+found
92_rugby_subie
Ohhhh I see I see, I remember now.. Perhaps those would be a cheaper alternative... Maybe just put Subaru or Ned or something on them
Durania
I wouldn't drop the cash on Rally Armors for them just to be cut up. There are a ton of DIY's on NASIOC on making your own mudflaps. One of them involves using a specific Home Depot trash can.
Caboobaroo
I'm planning on putting some on my XT6 eventually as I kick crap up off the road during the winter time. Doing it to help save my paint:lol:
Mr. Brat
I bought a full set of universal black flaps with silver rally armour lettering on them for $100 at the show... There was your chance:grin:
