Prwa101 Posted September 5, 2011 Share Posted September 5, 2011 okay ive been working on a 93 impreza, had a ton of oil leaks. took the motor out fixed them all up the motor back and now it wont start!!.... has fuel, has power turning the starter and motor over.... timeing is dead on did it several times thinking thats what it was... but no spark!!! does any one have any ideas? i have all the main wires hooked up and still nothing... ive gon through everyhting that i know about these cars and nojthing is comein got mind... and it ran really good befor... and now on top of this i think i might have damaged the tranny seal when i put the tqv back in so i have tranny fluid leaking...... anything will help! -prwa:slobber: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
capn_r Posted September 5, 2011 Share Posted September 5, 2011 If you replaced the timing belt my guess would be that you didn't use the mark on the crank sensor trigger wheel but rather the one on the sprocket. Prwa101 Posted September 5, 2011 Author Share Posted September 5, 2011 Are you talking about the two notches one on the crankshaft where the belt is and the other right under the sensor? General chaos Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 this bull happened to me too. i had everything lined up and everything but i had no spark. it turned out my wiring under the dash had become loose and wasnt getting a good connection. i could see up in there very well. so ai got mad and grabbed the harness and started shaking it back and forth and the connection came back together. and i got spark back. mine was on a 93 legacy. the power for spark came from the alt to the fuse then on to the main power for the ignitier. it hasnt failed since i shook it. Prwa101 Posted September 6, 2011 Author Share Posted September 6, 2011 well i started looking at the timing belt agin and noticed the cam pulley on the drivers side was about 1/4" from the cam senson! so i compared to to the lego and it was way off!! long story short.... left it right and right is left....... i got the pulleys backwords..... thanks guys for the help!
