Is it possible to patch a tiny leak on a power steering pipe? I have a 99 Forester that's leaking at a corroded elbow.

if your real good with a mig welder lol. I welded two of them together on my twinturbo mudbogger to get my ps to work. It was the pressure line and it has held great. not very easy to do though. the line is very easy to burn through. it is hard to get both good penetration and not burn through.

If the pipe is accessible, try to patch with JB Weld. The product has amazing strength. I used it with success to patch tubing on the high pressure side of my car's A/C system.

In using JB weld, it is imperative to get the area extremely clean before adding the patch, then let it dry over night, perhaps longer, before driving the car. I am betting the patch will hold, even if applied to the high pressure side.

I've used brake line with double flare connections for power steering before. I don't know if you're supposed to do that... but it's still holding.

You usually have to look for transmission cooler line to get it big enough, but my flare tool had a die for a line that size.
