Moosen
Nice snorkel? haha i wanna see a video of you using it now!
Dylan
I took the snorkel off when my truck broke down and I registered it. Yeah I wouldn't chop it if the body was good. This car is only supposed to last until next summer, but it will probably keep going.

eulogious
Why hack it up? I understand having a beater car, but just hacking it up for no reason? It's not like it's more functional now, in fact it's less functional :-\ To each their own, but I don't get it... But good deal on the car man! It's kinda like the car Ricky drove in the Trailer Park Boys. I drive it the same way too. Edited September 13, 2011 by Dylan
987687
Just because a car is a little beat is no reason to trash it/ blow it up. But to each their own.
Rooster2
Scratching my head as to why the tail gate was cut in half, then the upper window portion moved forward and rebolted, after a section of the roof was cut away. What purpose does this serve??

That's not how I would fix a hatch that doesn't open... but I guess it worked... In a way.
TheLoyale
WTF is with all the Negativity in this thread? I think it is fine whats been done to it.
eulogious
To the OP... I am not baggin' on you, I am just curious on why you did what you did, that's all. And I agree that we shouldn't be so negative about what someone does with their car, not really the spirit of USMB. That's what Nabisco is for I was just curious the WHY, even if I don't get it or wouldn't do that myself. At least there was a reason to cut up the hatch, it didn't work. So now I at least understand where the urge came to start cutting
1997reduxe
Maybe we could turn this thread into a "You show me yours, I'll show you..." Here's my present Sube. and this is NOT a beater, THIS IS MY REAL CAR!!! (Note the front-left fender as well as the rear...)

1997reduxe
Perhaps Dylan I could bring mine out to your shop for some custom work... I know, it'll cost, but it's worth it.
Durania
I will justify my negativity. You hacked up a semi-Ok wagon for some ghetto'd out baja.
1997reduxe
Actually, I thought it was funny that in the one pic from the rear it looked like a sedan with the rear trunk off. One person's ghetto is another's home... "So they loaded up the hacked-off-rear ghetto trailer-park Suby And they moved to Beverlee!!!"
TheLoyale
I will justify my negativity. You hacked up a semi-Ok wagon for some ghetto'd out baja. These cars are everywhere, go to any junkyard and you will find a bakers dozen (13 or more) So what if one has gotten hacked up? Its not like hacking up a Brat or 3-Door which the West coast guys seem to do plenty of. Yeah, someday these cars will be in short supply, but for the time being, their safe. Whatever this car is meant to get a beating. The entire floor pan is dented so the car is a waste.:-\
