81EA81
An old wise man told me there are specific lug nuts for alloy wheels. Is this true? It sounds like it would make sense. Reason being that I am running stock steels up front and subaru alloys in back untill I can get good tires on some spoke rims I have. I just used the existing lug nuts that were holding the steelies on. Will steel lugs break my alloy rim? or just not lock correctly?
1982gl4
I have a full set of alloy lug nuts and they look to have the same taper as my steel wheel nuts, the only difference I have noticed is they have more of a flat top than the steel wheel nuts and they are black. Last year I ran a set of alloys with steel wheel lugs nuts, and they were fine, never had an issue they didn't loosen up or hurt the wheel.
