Bill_96OBW Posted March 14, 2004 Share Posted March 14, 2004 I also had a scraping sound coming from the right rear but only on left turns. I took it in and they found the inner ring portion of the rotor rubbing on the backplate. The tech said it is usually hard to find but he had seen this before on Subarus so he knew right where to look. He machined the ring down a little and a half an hour later I was on the road and the scraping was gone. Brakes and wheel bearings were fine. mattocs Posted March 14, 2004 Share Posted March 14, 2004 I had a problem like that...it was that little plastic guard (it looked like it caught stuff that'd fall or something)...came loose and would rub...but could only be heard when going slow.
