81EA81
For an 87 Brat with an EA81 and the stock 4 speed has a 21 spline shaft. An EA82 of the same year has a 24 spline shaft. (too big)dont make the mistake I did. I got it all together and had no power to the wheels. So you will need a friction disc for the 21 spline. I think the earlier 80s cars had smaller clutches but im not 100% sure The friction disc from my 86 Brat was 8 7/8" the pilot bearing should be the same between EA81s and EA82s For the throwout bearing in my car I had to press the old bearing off the "holder" and press the new one on. I pulled the tranny when I did it. twice:rolleyes: But ive heard it is easier to pull the engine. depending on the history of your engine this may be the time to change some gaskets. I think that should be it. unless anyone else wants to chime in, maby more detail. good luck:) Edited September 30, 2011 by 81EA81
