86scooby
Hello, I have a 3" lifted 86 gl that has a ccr engine with about 3,000 miles on it. It has always had a problem that my ex would never address and now its out of warranty and Ive eliminated intake gaskets as them problem. I think the head gaskets gone, maybe not, but today I let if warm up and after the thermastat opened I have it seems exhaust in the radiator. bubbles, constant. Now it passed compression and a leak down on the radiator. I am at my wits end with fixing this car. I love it and dumped a whole lot of money into it but it seems no matter what I do somethings wrong with it. Is it time to trade it in for an outback? I did the spfi swap when we first put it together, could the throttle body have a crack in it somewhere? The inside looked a little hammered, not sure how but we bought it off of here yrs ago. Any suggestions? Not sure what to test next. With a new engine I shouldnt have to. That was the whole point of buying it since I knew the engine would never get rebuilt by my ex I opted for a new one. Thanks
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
When you did the SPFi Swap on the New Engine, have you used the Original Subaru intake Gaskets or aftermarket ones? Aftermarket ones are Crappy and trend to fail... Have you done a Compression Test on your engine? ... What Numbers it Give? Kind Regards.
86scooby
Just redid the intake gaskets with oem subaru ones, my ex had used felpro ones and I first thought that was what the problem was. Is there anyway for exhaust to get into the coolant through the intake if it was cracked internally? Or is it just a head gasket even through it isnt even broke in yet form CCR.
