He had parted out his ea82 and still had quite a bit of spare parts kicking around. I noticed that the side mirrors were different than those of most ea82's one usually sees. As you can see, they have the style of the ea82, but are attatched at the door like an ea81. They have power going to them, so they are the electrically adjusted type. The only other place I have seen these mirrors before is on this brochure I found online: And here are the mirrors on my '86 wagon for comparison: So what do you guys think? "rare" find? My Wagons has them, just Look at the Pictures at my Public Profile. (Click on my Avatar) That design is due to the "Need" that subaru had to Keep the Glass Area as "Clean" (without Visual obstacles) as Possible, Because those Early Third Gen Leones came Factory with the Mirrors on the Fenders, for the Japanese Market: So, the 1985 (and some 1986) Models had that Design because their doors hasn't space designed for Mirrors. ... I saved the ones I had and tried selling them, but got 0% interest. Well, Now I'm interested, Mr. President How much do you want for the Pair? Are those Electric Mirrors, isn't it? ... You can see that all the '85s have the mirrors like the parts doors I have and the '86s look just like the ones on my '86. The window, however, is different, since there is no mirror mount in the corner of the door. The newer style mirror mount triangle is swappable to the older door, but you need the matching glass. both the mirror and the glass are specific to 1985 only. But, the a-pillar mount triangle on the coupe has a sharper rake, and therefore a wagon/sedan mirror will not match the a pillar of a coupe, or vice versa. The kind that resemble the wagon and sedan in the front. i was referring to the 3-door coupe. The XT's, however, came out in 85. The 3-door is based on the sedan for floorpan. The xt is very similar, but the bulkhead is different, and the trans tunnel and floorpan are longer. The rear portion of a wagon floorpan is diferent after the rear wheels where the rollpan comes up and how the bumper attaches. Hehe Thank you for the insight on the window being different between '85 and '86 & up mirror styles. Not planning on swapping them out right now, only if it comes to it. I see I guess it would have helped if I had put the body style (ea82) in there... or just put the picture of the car when I first mentioned it.
