1-3-2-4
I was driving to work one morning and I don't know if it was something on the road (it's always something each morning) but I heard something go pop... and I was like what's that? Long story short my timing belt cover pretty much cracked at the screw part and was just hanging on... and it was angled enough so the plastic was rubbing on the belt so I was also wondered why I heard this sound as the Rps changed.. rverdoold
The top part snapped off?!? wow Thought most subarus had at least a plastic underbody under the front part of the engine bay. No radiator / fan damage?

davebugs
Looks like a DOHC. I just removed perfect covers to get at cam sprockets for another member. I have both ends inner and outer if you're interested in one drop me a PM. Some aren't badly priced new though.
1-3-2-4
I was just getting ready to check for the part number for the cover.. some of the smallest things cost so much... $22.03 from this one site However they list them as left right and center but they don't say what.. I'm going to guess as if you are looking at the engine so in my case I would need the right cover? Edited October 20, 2011 by 1-3-2-

So the drivers side is the Left side, passenger Right side.

rverdoold
Is there actually any wear on the inside, maybe the cover touched (has been rubbing) the cam-sprocket. Good no damage to the belt.
