The only D/R Auto that U know of, was offered in the Subaru Bighorn (Isuzu Trooper) So I am really wondering about this trans.

I also want to say some of the South American Legacys had a D/R 4EAT.

Maybe a safety of some kind? I'm not really sure how these drag strip auto trannies work, never had the opportunity to use one.

But this drag-ready camaro has the same looking lever on the side:

Actually just about all the drag-autos I see have this lever...

I NEED to know more about this. Ef that's a sleek car! Is that stock? :slobber:

Its a 1973 Subaru Leone Sportabout. Don't know anything about the car, I only saw the poster on Ebay. It must have been a dealer special or possibly a limited edition where ever the "Leone" series were at. (Japan, Australia, etc.)

I agree, it was probably a dealer promo thing (Like Don Yenko)

I'm sorry, but that wagon is kinda ugly. Might just be the color.

Also, another USMB Member from Europe said that he saw a Gen III Leone (Loyale) with D/R 4EAT Long time ago in Austria...

See:

In austria there were 2 different types of the 4EAT available.

A 4 speed automatic tranny single range and a 4 speed automatic tranny

with dual range and 100% lock differential in the middle.

I do not know if these 2 types were available in the US.

Anyone saved Pics to Post here?

Kind Regards.
