ShawnW
This 84 TurboWagon I am parting out and getting the fuel/intake stuff off of has a weird item on the passenger side of the engine. Its bolted to the frame rail, sits underneith the frame rail itself and seems to have 2 major lines going to it. Its a can made of plastic I believe. Anybody know what it is? Turbo brat I parted out before and my turbo wagon do not have this item. 2 10mm headed bolts secure it to the framerail.

Adam N.D.J.
Prolly the vacume canister for the cruise control. If you follow one of the lines it should go to the intake, with an inline check valve, and the other one should go up to the cruise control unit on the passenger side up by the strut tower. This holds vacume so that the cruise unit can accelerate the car (like going up a hill), even when under boost. Without it, when the cruise unit goes to accelerate, the boost actually pushed the diaphram the other way, making the car decel, mine came up missing when I pulled the engine last time, and now have this problem. ShawnW
Well that would explain why the Turbo Brat didnt have it (no cruise) and the 83 Wagon doesnt have it (different cruise system). Thanks everybody!
Turbone
The one with the canister is a dealer add-on. The one with the cable setup is factory.
