Numbchux
diagrams and pinouts will be the same, but wire colors will be different. But, here's a site with more FSMs than you know what to do with....including '98 Legacies... http://www.dunebuggyarchives.com/subbug/manuals.html

GeneralDisorder
Why didn't you save the fuel pump and ignition relay's? It's easier to just wire power to them and then route the fuel pump power wire to the fuel pump via the existing rear harness. GD

GeneralDisorder
Indeed. I went overboard with the first harness I stripped also. You can also leave all the dealer diagnostic connectors - just in case you get the opportunity to use the Subaru Select Monitor, etc. GD
Gloyale
You can also leave all the dealer diagnostic connectors - just in case you get the opportunity to use the Subaru Select Monitor, etc. GD Looks to be OBD II, and I think I see the OBD II port. Make sure the red/black wire(s?) to it has 12v Batt+. Although, if the IG. relay is gone, may need to check that all item supposed to be powered actually get power when you wire it up. the big yellow wire (Batt+)in particular feeds power to lots of stuff before it goes to the relay, so things like the Transistor, IAC, Vent solenoid, etc... may not be in the loop still. GeneralDisorder
Sure - but even the OBD-II cars have the SSM port and the D-check connectors, etc. For full diagnostic capability you might as well leave them. There are SSM's in the wild - Eulogious has one. GD
