njdrsubaru Posted November 14, 2011 Share Posted November 14, 2011 i am toying with the idea of a 5spd swap... i have 2 working autos but the reality is that they are more trouble than it is worth... i hve done a search here my didnt come up with anything substantial i need wiring info so i dont get a CEL on after the swap, ABS wiring info and any helpful tips this is being done to a 97 outback, mind that i already have matching rear diffs all i need is to get a 4.11 manual trans any info is much appreciated thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Fairtax4me Posted November 14, 2011 Share Posted November 14, 2011 Only wiring that I can think of is for the reverse and neutral position switches. Clutch/neutral START switch (different than the neutral position switch) is a matter of hooking two wires together. There is the MT/AT identifier pin on the ECU.
