jwox
My wife owns a 2000 legacy l and the headlights are frosted pretty bad and one of the adjusters is stripped. I plan on buying a new set but would like to put the headlights from an Outback in instead. Is this possible? I think the split headlight look is nicer and the overall shape is the same so it might be possible. I wonder how much wire changing there would be with the swap. Thanks for any info!! Fairtax4me
I don't see why they couldn't be swapped. The wiring may be different, but usually you can just buy the right plug for the bulb from an auto parts store if a junkyard part isn't an option. johnceggleston
for $20 and an hour of your time you can buy a kit by 3M for your drill and polish your your existing headlights to look like new. most parts stores carry them. even if you decide to replace them with outback lights, you could sell them for a little more if they are clear instead of cloudy. plus, could use the same kit to polish the outback lights , can't hurt. Lukas
Our EUDM-Legacys had the split-ones that are the same as the Outback had, so swapping is no problem!
