Lachlan
So if you've ever taken off your wiper motor, you'll see that the motor has a steel ball which sits in a white plastic socket in the wiper driving bar. And if you've ever taken off your wiper motor, you probably broke the little white plastic socket. Does anyone know the name or part number for the socket, or know where to source a new one? obk25xt
I'm not sure about the historic gen stuff. BUT! I had the same problem with a 2000 outback, I called the dealer in hopes of getting the white plastic socket piece. It was futile, I ended up paying $200 for an entire assembly. Your best bet is to attempt to source one used I'm assuming. In my case rainX did wonders while I searched for a used one, only to end up buying the new one from the dealer..... RainX is your friend
moosens
Looks like its not a seperate part from the manual. Buried away I've got some arms ,etc. , so probably another member here has them too but accessible.
Lachlan
Poo. That's not what i had hoped to hear. Thanks for the enlightenment, though. I guess I'll hit the junk yard and see what I can find.
xman
You can try getting a replacement in the 'Help' brand replacement generic parts at the local auto parts store. the package has an assortment of sizes and shapes. I found one that for in my 93 impreza. Good luck.
DR DLEX
....or use washer/spacer...cone it using a punch(to ride the ball)...cut a slice from center to edge...bend to slip over ball...bend back...then grease the ball the wipers may have a little slop, but it works
