subyrally
im trying to build a rx into a track car. im possibly going to swap out the turbo for a wrx unit, but what i need to know is, are there any other mass air sensors that will be a larger diameter but still compatible with the rx, ill most likely be installing a larger throttle body and an intercooler along with the new turbo. i know that the cars run like crap without the sensor, but the stock one is too narrowand it wont allow the use of an aftermarket cone style air filter. any suggestions or advice? rallyruss
they sell adaptors if you really want to run the cone filter. there are better ways toget it to breath in my opinion. the mas airflow sensor is not much of a restriction compared to your intake. do the exhaust right off the turbo with 2.5" that will help. subyrally
would the stock sensor work with the larger turbo? of course i will be upgrading the whole intake setup as well as the exhaust.
rallyruss
turbo size upgrade would be verry helpfull. no sensor changes needed. too bad skip is on a little break but here is what he was working on last. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12531&highlight=vf11 I plan to do almost the same if I can afford to keep my RX.
