Here in Norway, I believe every MT Legacy except the 2.0 turbo of 1. gen., had low range as standard equipment... I'm not sure though, but every Norwegian Legacy and Forester I've seen (except the turbos) were equipped with low range... even the imports from Germany.... Later Subaru Loyales where classified as Light Trucks in USA, then Subaru Removed the Dual Range just for the USA market only... as Far as I Know. Kind Regards.
