AKghandi
My 87 gl10 has a very odd light blue paint job it's not like any other Subaru color I've seen I'm going to start stocking up on body work supplies And I'd like to get factory paint but alas I cannot find my paint code. So if anyone can tell me where to find it that would be helpful. And it's not on a tag on the strut tower. So the other thing I need is the different blue paints for 86-88 I think it's galactic blue or Bermuda blue. examples would be useful. I don't think it's lake blue as its darker than that
shortysayhi
I found this... I'm guessing It's "twilight blue"
AKghandi
Hmm that sounds about right it's a very deep color. So next step is to get some mixed and see if it's right thanks much
MilesFox
marina blue would be the lighter metallic sky color my 87 xt has. i have seen several 1986 gl-10 with the dark bluue, which lookks very similar to my 94 legacy which is blue pearl mica. the paint code should be just next to the hood latch on the radiator support. tizzle
Is there anyway to get the paint code from the vin? No, but you can check these sites: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/choosecolor/choosecolor.aspx?year=1987&make=Subaru&model=All%20Models http://www.paintscratch.com/touch_up_paint/Subaru/1987-Subaru-XT-Coupe.html
TheLoyale
If this is a 1987 GL, the paint code sticker might also be on the driver side strut tower (Next to one of the 3 12mm nuts) I have seen an '87 GL which had it in that location. zukiru
You think they weigh less than steels? just trying to figure out which wheels I have would be lightest. The steels (XTDL) The Hs Or these phone dials.
nipper
http://www.paintscratch.com/apple.html That's who I use to mix paint for the Justy if you are looking for something in a can.
AKghandi
The alloys are Wayy lighter than the steelies and I think the weight is close to the same between the H style and the dial style I'm going to go to car quest here in town first and see how good it is before I start ordering and paying out the a$$ for shipping lol
