LeolaPA
I'm thinking of getting a Bosch 15726 universal o2 sensor, but I read a review on one of the parts sites that said that it was physically too long. Has anyone here installed one of these? I have a 95 Legacy LSi with the 2.2 motor. I'm the person who has been struggling with the stalling when cold. ocei77
Can't state whether it is too long or not, but if it is you can buy a spark plug nonfouler (@$3), enlarge the opening and screw the sensor into it. O.
Olnick
. . . I read a review on one of the parts sites that said that it was physically too long. I won't pretend to be the final authority but I think that review was wrong. We put a Bosch universal--probably the same model number--on my son's '92 Legacy. Absolutely no problem with the fit. By the way check the prices on Amazon, it's around $35 there.
porcupine73
I don't know if it was that Bosch part #, but I used a Bosch universal splice-in on my '96 2.2L some years back and it fit fine.
LeolaPA
Tomorrow I will have the garage clean enough to bring the car inside, and I will measure it before I buy a new one.
