jrobe
Long time lurker, first time poster. Hi to all!! I have owned a dozen on Subarus and have a 95 Wagon as my daily driver, 85 Vanagon with a 95 EJ22 and a 90 Vanagon with a ALH TDI. I am a regular on The Samba and a member or lurker on most of the Subaru boards. Thanks Jeff

jrobe
It's an 85 Weekender with a 95 EJ22 and a beefed up automatic. I used the Smallcar kit and am 1 of many that has a cracked exhaust manifold in less than a year. I would recommend the Rocky Mountain Westy kit. I make my own harnesses and have done conversions for others. Here is a link for my test stand.

cal_look_zero
I'm going to be helping my dad install an EJ22 into his 85 weekender, and will be fabbing the motor mounts and building a one off header. We aren't wanting to tackle the harness though, how much would you charge to merge a harness?
jrobe
You picked the best year(95) for the conversion. The 95 I can get it down to 1 pending code on the 2D ECM. The neutral safety pending code does not turn on the check engine light. All connections are soldered and double shrink wrapped and taped. I also wire it for A/C, speed sensor and cruise control(xtra speed sensor wire) $400 for your harness to be modified. Since I do this as a passion I would say I spend more time on it than someone that does it for a job. Let me know, Jeff Edited July 21, 2012 by jrobe
