An old Justy 4WD in Italy

Recommended Posts

Dear friends,

it's my first post here so I hope that I don't break any rules :)

I am a classic cars enthusiast in Italy, as you can see in my site

I presented to my first wife in 1989 a new Subaru Justy 4WD in Italy, maybe the first one in our country. This car has been in my garage since my wife passed out (1992), having driven her for less than 10,000 miles. Now I have decided to put her back on the road. The Justy starts and runs well, though she will obviously need a new battery and some TLC on her body and interior. I would like to replace the wheels, though, as those steel rims are a bit rusty and have some dents. Italian law forbids me to change the diameter so I'm forced to keep the 12" size.

Does anyone know what kind of car uses the same bolt pattern/size of that old Justy? For my old Bristol I found that modern 6x16J Mercedes B-Klasse rims are perfect, does this Sibaru share her wheels with some modern car?

I'm sure that someone here knows the solution to this small problem.....I would also like to buy some spares, carpets etc and a European/UK address would be very useful...Subaru of Italy has no love for old Subarus. Thank you for your help!

Hello Loyale,

you are right, so many 'non-Subaru' Subarus here!

My car is very similar to this one (below) though mine is blue and silver with blue/grey velour interior and grey carpets. I didn't think to take any pics of the actual car as she's buried in my garage 40 miles from here with the other classics.

Thanks for your suggestions,

That is a True Justy For Sure!

So, you'll Need:

* Pitch circle diameter (bolt pattern) of 4X100mm

* Offset of no more than +35mm (a little less is ok too)

* A center bore of approximately 60mm

Remember: if a wheel with a lug openings or center bore 2mm smaller than the Justy's size is forced onto a Justy hub, it will probably never come off.

The USA and Latin american Justy's came with 13" Rims and the only ones stock wheels I remember that directly fit the Justy straight away, are some older 80's Nissan wheels from the early Sentra / Sunny \ Pulsar Family of Models, but those are 13", except for the Nissan March which has 12".

So, if your Justy came with 12" Wheels and you can not Swap them with 13" ones, I Kindly suggest you to Search and Test Fit any 12" with 4X100 pattern you can find, utill you find the right ones.

Maybe some Renaults? as far as I could Remember, there are few renaults that came with 4X100 and 12" Rims, we have very few Renaults in my Li'l country.

Good Luck!

Kind Regards.
