Whats a '95 AWD 4EAT with a Bad Reverse Clutch Worth? $50?

Recommended Posts

I have a '95 4EAT with a bad reverse clutch, slips out of reverse and rarely engages when warm. All forward gears, TC and Duty-C/clutch pack are in good working order.

I have no use for this trans, would it be better to part it out vs. Selling the entire trans?

Looking for some insight.

They will probably take it as sheet steel. If you can break it down some, you might get aluminum breakage for anything you can separate from the whole unit, such as the tailshaft housing. The clutch baskets in the rear are worth selling if they are not grooved, and sometimes the basket shears off the shaft, so someone may need it.

Yep, little value. You could hang on to the pan, rear tailshaft and clutch, solenoids.

They are only of value if someone needs them.

I've kept some for my own use, but not to many are interested in purchasing them.

if you got room to keep it, try to accumulate a little more scrap to take with it. steel will weigh up quickly. take it in with your cans or curb finds.

I always kept cans when i did office cleaning like you do. just an idea. otherwise, the scrapyard is better than leaving it out for someone else to take.

Or just hang the nice bits in a wall, play the ninja with the clutchs, etc. :D

I'm seriously considering hanging an EJ25 intake to the wall. After all, some people mount dead animal's heads, right? :D

(My GARAGE wall, that is! :) )
