Stubies Subie
It's my understanding that there's a number on the drivers side front door lock, if you can get the door interior panel off, and get that number off the door lock cylinder, you can take that number to the dealer and get a new key made off that number for about $
nipper
Dealership is best bet and the cheapest. They will make you a new set.
MilesFox
the dealer does not keep key codes tied to vin before 1995. a competent locksmith should be able to cut a key by inspecting the tumblers. you can defeat the steering lock by drilling out hte lock pin, and you can pull the ign switch and start with a screwdriver. you can turn on the car by jumping a wire from the + coil terminal to the + battery, then jump the starter. The steering lock is what you have to defeat if you want to drive the car with no key. There is no shifter lock-out. What can you do? all or none of the above, depending on if you have to drive your car or not until you get a key.
