TheLoyale
I need to take a current picture of this thing. I think most of ya'll will be disappointed with what I did LOL. It involves 22ga galvanized sheet metal, two screws with nuts and expanding foam (OH NO!!!) Oh yes!!!
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
... 22ga galvanized sheet metal, two screws with nuts and expanding foam ... Not a Fartcan Muffler... isn't it?
Crazyeights
Not a Fartcan Muffler... isn't it? Na, it's got to be a HUGE Aero wing on the back!

TheLoyale
The Ski wagon may no longer be the ski wagon after seeing this. I am in love with this color (Thanks Kiwi) I just need the color code. Next year when the car goes for paint, it may become this gray color instead of Porcelain White. I printed it out nice and clear, gonna check around for some type of Machine shops in Waukesha, Could a Mill cut this, or will it have to be CNC'ed? tractor pole
That could very easily be done on a manual Bridgeport mill. Or even a drill press...

TheLoyale
You must be a lucky man..! Hell, I ordered a Borg Warner Coolant temp switch from the Hub location for O'reillys, Hub driver dropped it off a few hours later, I looked at it and and its like 3x the size of the original, it won't even screw into the port on the intake (Its like an M20!) So, I'll write up a return invoice tomorrow and maybe go order one at Subaru.
Idasho
Thats why my first stop for parts is the dealer. Subaru has yet to hand me an incorrect part. And typically cost is so similar to a parts house, I may as well go OEM.

Idasho
Hey guy, I was noticing the change in your front clearance lamps on this GL of yours... From clear to amber And was wondering, do you still have the clear ones? Id love to have a clean spare set if you want to sell them
TheLoyale
Mick, OH! Is that what the issue is..? Yep, you did send me a box of those, I put a new one in the GL so the Fan would work. But yes, the Loyale needs the one for the Gauge which screws into the intake. The problem is when I look up "Temp Sender/Sensor" it always brings up the $100 two wire one which goes elsewhere on the Intake, and does not control the gauge. Kenny, those lights are the same ones. I just made them Amber As these will soon be wired as Marker Lights/Turn signals, so I won't have to add lights to the bumper (1980-82 bumper) As for the dealer, I was given the wrong parts a few times at my dealer. Since they can't run the vin on the 1983, they have to manually look it up (I guess its hard for the mentally compromised who work at the Dodge/Jeep/Subaru dealer) Haha! TheLoyale
I just ordered a Temp sender from Rockauto. $7.94 shipped via First Class! Perhaps this will be the correct part (It still has the single Spade tab) These threads are becoming a mess, Talking about another Subaru, in a Subaru build thread, which has its own build thread! Perhaps I need to make a build thread about how to make a build thread. Or a thread about how to have a 1,000 post thread about a car you don't even own yet. (Check out the first page of this thread if you don't understand my last comment)

I'm guessing you haven't read Toonga's build thread on ausubi. Now that's one hell of a spam fest! Thought you'd like to know I also like how this thread has had triple the amount of attention and posts than your L safariwagon's has... TheLoyale
I kinda want to go this route with the GL, but that would also require dropping in a new driveline so its actually fast. Damn this Celica looks good. Japanese muscle car?
SmashedGlass
'tis indeed a Japanese muscle car....with the engines they were intended to have installed.... unlike the ones that we got on American shores.
el_freddo
The rear end of that thing looks a bit shelby like with those fat tyres on the rear - very muscle like! Cheers Bennie
Subruise
my 76 celica gt had a buick 3.8 and chevy running gear. scariest thing ive ever piloted. nice pic Tom, made me sniffle. some 10" wide tires on the back of a raked out gen 2 would be pretty cool, add traction bars and solid rear axle, and a ej
