ivans imports
i did it and looks good a bitt thin around the barrel but will work for race engine now we plane the bugger down a bitt and get a short stroke 2.3 out of it or phase two rods and make a stroker 2.5 out of it i will biuld it and run it very hard c if it fails
Quidam
Hey, Got a pic? If you look over at NASIOC you will find examples of split bores on an open deck block. Or did you use a closed deck? Doug

Quidam
Well, what kind of race engine? Mud dragster? Quarter mile at a time you can do a full block fill. Concrete even, if you want. Doug

bheinen74
the ej22t closed deck block would be the best one for this type of stuff. bore to a 2.35 or so. boost to 30psi get a stronger gearset to handle it grin.
