dancinghobotom
So, semi-noob question here, What kind of differentials does my 91-ish loyale have? I've been getting some argument from my friends lately, but mine seems to slip in the snow sometimes (deep, loose snow) and only spin one or two wheels. So Open? LSD? Next question, what dif mods are out there? Has anyone done an airlocker type mod? are there any kits out there to convert to an LSD (assuming stock is open)? Thanks, Tom
AKghandi
well the loyales came with push button 4x4 with a locked center diff so you will always get 2 wheels spinning the front and rear diffs are open some cars came with LSD in the rear like the rx's some xt6s and a few gl-10s and you might even get lucky and find a wagon or sedan as they were optional the main problem is most of the cars with LSD are 3.700 ratio where as the normal 4x4 is 3.900 ratio you can put the lsd unit into the 3.90 diff with minor mods( theres a thread some where about it) I've even heard rumors of people putting the lsd in the front diff the easiest solution is just to weld the rear diff and just pull one of the rear axles on the pavement im sure someone else will post and fill in the blanks as im also a relative noob
