Ricearu
holy fire hazard batman, you need some heat shielding in there stat! also where did you get that UEL? My outback sounds like a honda and I don't like it. I just upgraded from a 90 lego (avatar) to a 97 outback and am waiting to put a pipe on it until I go UEL
maozebong
needs MOAR flapper. x2. get a lil flapper valve like you see on tractors. rain will collect in the exhaust otherwise.

I already do I just take it off when it isn't raining or snowing. I love that it bugs other people in drive-thru's. lol
MilesFox
What kind of fuel economy are you getting. My exhaust is similar less the stack, having the cherry bomb in the mid-pipe and a borla replica header. I am getting 15 mpg, that is 7.5 gallons to 105 miles when i filled up last. 89ChevondaSI
I get about 19-20 on unleaded then a solid 20 on premium and 21-22 on premium without ethanol.

MilesFox
Yeah my 15 mpg was regular grade 10% ethanol. I went with mid grade this time, i will see if that helps. I might have to make some sort of baffle for the tailpipe to help the torque. If none of that helps, i would probably be best to go back to a stock header, or get cams. the last 95 legacy i got averaged 18mpg with stock header and no muffler, hollow cats, but it ran so rich it would sting my eyes. 89ChevondaSI
^ that sounds like my truck. lol I was getting 18 with oversized mud tires on it. but it runs so rich now I get about 10 with undersized highway treads. :-\
