carb problem

Recommended Posts

Re you talking about the gasket that goes between the carb and intake manifold?

If so, just unbolt the carb, remove the old gasket, clean the mating surfaces, apply new gasket, bolt carb back on.

Its pretty easy.

I have seen plenty of carbs end up with problems after being flipped over.. Granted, none of them were soob carbs, but somehow I doub't that they are so much different than any holley, weber or rchester I have worked on..something to do with crap in the carb shifting around and gumming stuff up.. It was explained quite a bit more eloquently than that when I was in Automotive school.. But a combination of the warning in school and the real life experience leads me to issue that warning on the off chance I give any carb related advice (which I rarely do.. Fuel Injection is where my interests lie, so I generally ignore the carb threads)
