987687 Posted March 11, 2012 Share Posted March 11, 2012 Cam seal, maybe. I'd be surprised if it needs a cam. Wheel bearing isn't that much of a big deal. Find out where it's leaking coolant from. If you're lucky it's the waterpump leaking. Even if it's a head gasket, it's not that hard to replace. I wouldn't condemn it for a few simple things. If the rest of the car is solid, fix it up. Or just find any online auto parts dealer that sells Holts Radweld. That's the product that subaru rebranded and sells for $1.50 a bottle at the dealer. If there's a coolant leak (presumably from the front of the engine) AND the engine has lost power (i.e. bad timing) I would suspect the water pump is on it's last leg Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
