whiterabbit
After working on my 1992 legacy sedan for a keyless entry I found my seatbelt just on driver side door will not operate, checked all fuses and unplugged and replugged controller unit in trunk, took off neg cable, light just flashes on dash. Thinking I blew a fuse but found none, any ideas?
Fairtax4me
I'm not sure how those things work but you can probably find some info in the service manual here: http://www.main.experiencetherave.com/subaru_manual_scans/
lmdew
These fail pretty often. It is driven by a motor at the bottom of the door at the aft side. Lots of times the cables come out of the track. Once that happens, you pretty much have to replace the complete unit. I've worked the cable back into the track but it doesn't last to long. If you can get it into the aft lock position, you can just undo it every time. Units are $25 at the local pull and pay. There is a manual retract option, the allen wrench is in the center counsel. Get out the owners manual.
