tundrabrat
I have a lead on a '88 XT6. It is a manual, AWD, electronic locking center diff, air suspension was replaced, the engine just turned over 100k in December. I haven't seen it yet but according to the seller the inteiors is perfect it has some rust on the rockers (no rust through), straight body panels and a rattle can paint job. He said 2 days ago the power steering stopped working after sitting for the last couple of months... apparently it is electric?!?! He's asking $2,000.00 best offer. What other type of stuff should I be looking for and what's a reasonable price? Thanks!!! Edited March 15, 2012 by tundrabrat
john in KY
I think the asking price is way to high with the described paint job. The power steering is electric and most likely the motor just needs new brushes to fix it. An easy fix. The power steering fluid is special so only use Subaru fluid. AKghandi
If you do get it put a remote mount turbo on it! I think it would be an Sti killer..
bheinen74
ANY car here with rattle can paint means SERIOUS rot under the rustoleum. There is never an exception on that for cars here, but maybe not where you are from.

I'll see it in person tomorrow
