SkankinPickle
Does anyone know if these headers will work on a 2nd-gen L-series (EA-81)? My '86 hatchback (older 80-84 body style) is getting an EJ and I need exhaust... Edited June 24, 2012 by SkankinPickle

mhj555
Has anyone installed this on a vehicle with an automatic transmission? I've heard of other UEL headers getting too close to the transmission cooler lines. Any pictures of the header installed , and how close it gets to the radiator? Thanks! scoobnoob
Can these be ran as is? Or do they need to be coated and or wrapped?
darkmoon
Can these be ran as is? Or do they need to be coated and or wrapped? They work fine as is...If you had a built engine maybe you would want to wrap them for performance but lets face it these are for n/a ej22's haha
scoobnoob
^^ just curious, didn't know if heat would be an issue.
scoobnoob
OK, so a bit off topic but if I run this with no cat am I going to get a cel? Or just running no catperiod. Just couldn't find the answer anywhere else. If cel is an issue with no cat, is there a workaround?
Fairtax4me
Yes you will get a P0420 code for cat efficiency. You can sometimes get around that by using a spark plug anti-fouler on the rear O2 sensor.
