chaseman Posted March 29, 2012 Share Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) How do I to get the Input shaft out of the case , the d/r range collar thing is holding it in. Actually nevermind I found this thread http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=97653 So it seems the shifter collar thing needs to come out. So I need to take the pin out the D/R lever on the outside of the case. Anybody have a favorite way of getting those pins out? This is why i'm taking it out , someone tried to get to the input shaft seal by taking the plate off in the bellhousing letting the dual range stuff expand (what I'm told and looks to be) and then after they could'nt get the plate to seat again so they tried hammering it in. I figured it out , how do I delete this thread now? I mean since there were no replys. Since there's no valuable info in it.
