phillys14
Does anyone know the name/part number for the bracket that holds the gear shift boot in place? Right now, the boot is loose and can loose things on top of the transmission. I've spoke with a couple dealerships that couldn't find it. I've found other Imprezas with the same problem, so hoping folks know what I'm talking about. I'm looking for a factory-like piece, not a chrome-like fancier one. Can anyone help? Thanks. ocei77
Try http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/ In future you need to give more info. Such as engine, year and for pieces like this, trim level. O.

lmdew
The boot should have holes in the rim flange, they go over the plastic pins on the bottom of the trim panel. Lot's of times the pins break off. Hot Glue the boot on to the trim panel sides and back and then put the assy back on. The front needs to be pulled back a little to install the 2 screws.
