Recian
Im curiuos if anyone here has come across a legitimate resource for short ram intakes for the 90s EJ22s? I can make one but the only issue is i dont have any tubes that'll compensate for the 1" tube that's hooked to the idle valve. I cant put a filter on it since it receives air from behind the MAF. I've found one on ebay but it doesnt show the large tube for the idle valve.
Legacy777
There were some intakes that were made for the second gen Legacies, 95-99. I don't recall if they had all the ports on them for the PCV system and IAC intake tubes. Even if they did, I'm not sure you're going to be able to find them now. You may want to check on ebay. Other possibility is to try and find one for the first gen Impreza and modify it.
Fairtax4me
You pretty much have to make one from what I've seen. You can always modify the premade intakes. Drill a hole in the side and glue a brass nipple on.
Recian
I can find the legacy one id just have to add a 1" fitting for idle controller. Is it really worth $125 tho? I cant find cat backs either. May have to build a bigger exhaust. It looks like the 2000+ impreza headers will fit at least.
95legwagon
what i did on my 95 lego ej22 was used the stock intake tube and bought a plate that mated to the maf sensor with a spot for a cone filter on the other side ( autozone )...... i also have a flexible tube that i run down the fender to the bumper for a cold air intake cuz if you leave it in the engine bay your not gaining anything lol hot air intake. has a nice throaty sound when you get on it but i really dont know if it gained anything..... Recian
Yea i used some spare parts i had and did that too. Doesnt seem to help much besides putting the filter at an open spot where it could suck in water coming up between the frame and valve cover. Maybe i can build a box for that
Gloyale
Is it really worth $125 tho? No. Your subaru already has a cold air intake, WITH a water seperator built in. It's under the passenger side fender. Why mess with a good thing?
