iamtheq
I know how it happened, he neglected to keep the wheels pointing down Body work aside (can they even fix that? I doubt it - you've got yourself a parts car now) I hope that you're OK.
kecksnext
Driving just a hair over the limit. All the snow we had Friday melted the same day. I was cruising on some back roads and there was a spot where a farmer would cross the road to access his other field. Needless to say this was the only spot that had runoff, the roads were dry all day and by the time I got there it was frozen. DOH!! Lost it immediately. I wanna cry. All_talk
OUCH, that really sucks. I’m surprised you got it on its roof without knocking all the corners off. If the unibody not badly tweaked (doesn’t look to be), all you need is a couple of fenders, a door, a roof section, glass, a welder, and some paint, no problem. But seriously I bet it fixable, I’ve dealt with worse, whether its worth it is another story. Gary

lastchance
Dude! Are you okay?!!!! It looks like one of those accidents you walk away from unhurt or don't walk away from at all. :(
calebz
Hope you're OK.. You seem to be OK enough to post.. Thats a good thing. $1.99 for rubbing compound at autozone and you'll be good to go.. might want to buy 2 though.
kecksnext
Yeah, I figure a little WD-40 some duct tape and everything will be good as new. The pisser is... after all the trouble I've had fixing the air suspension the damn thing is still standing tall. Whoda known. Anyone have an XT6 for sale? Turbone
Damn, thats got to hurt. I agree on the top removal, what can you loose? Straighten/stiffen the A pillars, clean it up and make a soft top for it.

The Scooby
that sucks, glad your ok, kinda the same thing happened to me, thats how i totaled my 86 Mazda B2000 truck, but i hit a steel light pole and tweaked the frame and pushed the firewall all the way up until it touched the clutch and brake pedal. just glad your OK, and sorry for your car, that really bites. NoahDL88
I had it worse in my wagon, had about a foot between the dash and the roof, only lost the windshield though, should be easy enough to jack out and replace, it looks to be worth it. Honda's 86 Brat
If you part it out, how much do you want for the air ride suspension and the 5 lug? Hope you find another one that will serve ya faithfully without being wrecked
orangegoblin
Man thats bad news - i think if you wash it it might look a bit better - keep smiling:D
kecksnext
Well, the plan is this. I'm taking Friday and Monday off to see what's what. I'll know by Saturday if I'm parting out or fixing up. I'm pretty sure everything motor wise is fine as I remember turning the car off while I was standing on my head. I'm going to concentrate on checking the frame and body before I make my decision. Thanks to everyone for their concern.
Marck
If you do part it, I'll be interested in the front and rear sway bars with mounting brackets. I think they are both 20mm.

Setright
Glad to hear that you're OK. Sorry to say that I think your Subie has sacrificed his/her life to save yours. Roof damage equals write-off where I come from. The strength is gone, and the car will never be the same again. What a grand shame!!
