kabarakh
Well, thanks to the help of everyone on this board I was able to give my girlfriend her birthday present yesterday! 1983 Subaru GL, FWD, with 176k miles on it. Next up is a new exhaust, weber carb, and fixing the rear power windows Many thanks to all on this board for all the help!
TheLoyale
That thing looks pretty decent! You're luck that your girl would think an Old subaru is a good present, she is one of the very few.. Keep up the good work on the car! -Tom

I got the idea after she told me one day that she wanted an old subaru like mine (88 GL) So I found it and fixed it up for her

Moosen
Damn you have a hell of a catch! Most girls would scoff at something like that. I think it is sexy though
man on the moon
She doesn't have a sister or best friend, does she??? We're all jealous, well done on both the girl and the car!
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
That is a Pretty Subaru, and will be Better with the Weber and Power windows... etc, that you Plan. But Also sounds like a Fun Project Car for you. My Wife somehow Preffer to Drive my Lifted 5MT BumbleBeast instead her Automatic Kia Sephia, she says that she prefers taller Cars... but I don't let her drive it too often. Kind Regards. bratman18
If I had a woman that didn't approve of the car I drove, I'd ditch her!! Sounds like you have a good one!!
kabarakh
Yeah, between her and the car I think I'm a pretty lucky guy! Can't wait to get the new stuff for the ride, I think I almost like hers more than my '88:lol:
Red92
If I had a woman that didn't approve of the car I drove, I'd ditch her!! Sounds like you have a good one!! There is a HUGE gap though between just "approving of", and then actually wanting one of her own.
