Loyale 2.7 Turbo
Thanks for Share... Looks like a Fun Project. Why the Previous Owner left it unfinished? The EJ engine has already its ECU Wired? Kind Regards.

Prwa101
Haha forgot to tell you about this, http://offroadingsubarus.com/downloads/EA2EJ.pdf This is pretty much the (bible) when it comes to the EJ swap Everything youll even need to know. Read it. Then read it agin. Then after that. Read it a couple more times. Then agin just for fun! Haha. Hope this help! -Prwa
4play
I belive this is in the paper work I found in the car, have not read it yet. but I did not see eany thing about trans and rear end.
92_rugby_subie
Most legacy's IIRC correctly are 4.11 and that car shoulda come stock with a 3.9 so they probably wont fit. How much do you know about this car? Just curious, sounds like it was a project started by someone else, which could prove ugly in the future. 4play
The sticker on the rear end is 4.111 or some thing. ware can I find the numbers on the trans.?
TheLoyale
You will have to go by Model number sticker on the transmission to determine the diffs ratio. Marshall, only Automatic Legacys had 4.11 gears. All Manual Legacys have 3.9 gears. 1996-'99 Outback Autos have 4.44, Manual Outbacks have 4.
WoodsWagon
Manual non-turbo 90-94 legacys had 4.11 transmissions. So did 93 impreza's.
4play
I dont know a lot about this car, but it was a turbo auto with 4 wheel disc brakes. the po told me he put a 92 thru 94 legacy 5 speed in. So if I under stand right with the 4.1 rear dif and the lego 5 speed that should work.
TheLoyale
Yep, both diffs should have the same ratio. As for Legacy ratios, '95-'99 5spd Legacy L had 3.9 gears

Gloyale
Did you make it tie into the forward crossmember? I'm thinking if not, that mount is going to rock up and down with accel/deccel force. I would definately tie it to the front crossmember too, like the factory EJ trans mounts.
4play
ya I have I have spent some time crawling around under a legacy to day and I think you mite be right about tying it to the frunt mount some how. ben working on little things to day like power stering lines and exost. still not ready for electrical.
