TheLoyale
I need some pics showing me how the rear fuel lines run, Pump to Tank, Tank to Main lines. I removed them to replace them and forgot what goes where. Edited April 18, 2012 by TheLoyale
mcbrat
depending on what year tank you ended up with the fittings can be different. if there's a larger fitting or the lowest one, that's the main line. the other ones would be the return line and the vent line... which goes around the side and up to the canister in the body... got a decent pic of the fittings? TheLoyale
Whoops. The tank is from a 1983 4WD wagon (100% the Same as mine) So all the fittings are the same. I know about the two 1/4" lines on the right side of the tank that run to the Canister, I need to replace one of the soft lines that run off it, as I cut the old one. I can get some pics, I need to drop the tank again as I forgot to attach the overflow hose to the top of the tank (Whoops lol)
TheLoyale
Here are some pictures. First off, does this look correct? I bent all new lines and replaced the rubber, but I forgot how it looked when I took it apart. This is the line which clips to the tank and runs to the Canister in the fender wall, what connects to this end of it? Maybe it will all make more sense once I get the fuel pump back up. The other end of that line This is the front part of the tank, I assume one if Feeler line and the other a return? The 3rd is the line from that canister. These are the rest of the lines I bent up, I need to know which end this 2-way valve goes on the long u-shaped line. And the lines which enter the cabin. If someone have a picture in this view, it would help me see where everything connects. Thank you, -Tom
mcbrat
yep. larger one is main feeder line, smaller one below is return, and the one that wraps around the tank is the vent. not sure on the valve...
TheLoyale
Hmm, by looking at this picture, I put the fuel pump lines on wrong.
TheLoyale
Thanks to the PDF Tom Redmond sent me, I now have the fuel pump lines correct! The PDF also kinda shows the rest of the lines. So that helps! Thank you Tom for the PDF.

l75eya
Good stuff here. Wanted to bring it back from the dead to ask, what kind of metal line do you run when replacing the lines? It looks like the same type of lines I used when I did the brakes on my nova. Can I use metal brake lines? Are all of the metal lines the same diameter?
