mikewilke77
I've got a 95 legacy wagon with an auto trnny. It occasionaly dies when I stop at a red light. When it does this to me, it will not start for about 5 min. It just turns over seemingly not getting spark. Then all of the sudden it starts and runs fine. Never any problems while in forward motion. Please help???????
Durania
First question, do you have any check engine codes?
MilesFox
consider the engine temp sensor on the back of the water passage pipe under the intake.
mikewilke77
no cel. Also I forgot to mention that I just swapped the tranny. The problem also existed with the old transmission.
TheLoyale
This is not a Transmission issue, it is most likely the Coolant Temp sensor on the Coolant cross over like Fox said. I had this issue with my '95. I also had a bad Knock sensor and Cam sensor which did not help the matter. The first time it stalled I thought I was out of fuel Ha! The coolant temp sensor is about $40 bucks from most parts stores. It is kinda of a PITA to get to because the IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) is in the way, but you "can" get to it. I did Take care, -Tom
