dragonevo Posted April 23, 2012 Share Posted April 23, 2012 I have a EU model Subaru Legacy 2.5gx 1998 who i have an check engine light who appears from time to time and then disappears , is there any OBDII in this car and if it is, could somebody show me a picture where it is so i can hook up my car to my reader.. Yep, above is a good description of where to hook up the reader. The only problem is I have had trouble getting a code reading, if the CEL turned itself off. Recian Posted April 23, 2012 Share Posted April 23, 2012 Not always. Just because the light is off the ecm will store a "history" code until it reaches its 40 key cycles then deletes the code. Since obd2 codes are 2 trip logic the problem must be stored. If it happens 2x within 40 ignition cycles it turns the light on.
