Subaroid
Phew. Hiya folks. I've been away for "a while", again, and don't really know what's been going on here. "Welcome back, Subaroid There have been 8253 threads and 67591 posts since your last visit!" Anyone care to write a short list of things that are a "hot topic" or significant events in the recent past, to get me on track? Me: I still have my Leone turbowagon, it's been under construction all winter, and progress has been somewhat slow. I was going to get it ready and on the road (and off-road, hehe) by January. But, january passed, as did February, and now we are approaching the end of March. Oh well. Winter's almost over too, so I won't be able to put my 14" Peugeot wheels and new studded M&S tires into a real test. I'm looking into having the cams ground for hotter profile, I have recently become acquainted with the best cam grinder in the country (That's Finland, for those of you who don't remember me... all of you?) And he makes real nice cams for race engines of all kinds. Will ask him what he think could be achieved with this engine. I'm not looking into putting a lot of money in it though. May not modify it that much, just finish the top mount cooler and hood scoop mods, and raise the boost a little. The suspension will be modified some, making it possible to either raise it beyond stock height or lower it, depending on what I want from the car. The rear is easy, but the front is a bit more work. Main goal is to get the body painted (close to ready with the prepwork) and get the car inspected for this year. Other projects are taking a lot of my time too. OH! I bought a silly little Subaru E12 Domingo van last fall, and a while ago it got a little brother/sister. Identical van, same color even. Will sell them both this spring, after I fix them up a little. I need to concentrate on the most interesting cars I have and just get rid of the ones I care less about. The Turbopwagon stays, and the 3 Volkswagens will also stay for the time being. (oh yea, I have 10 cars at the moment.. 3 Subies, 4 VW'2, and 3 old Mazdas. ) Anyhoo.. just thought I'd drop by to see what you guys are up to. Most of my Subaru online time is spent at my club's website & discussion forum, we have an active club in Finland now. I won't tease you with an URL though, it's all in some obscure foreign language, which most of you couldn't understand anyway. (Finnish ) Signing off, Jan Andersson a.k.a.
