Subaru Newbie
Hi, i have a 1985 subaru gl wagon, I was doing a little mudding a few days ago, then yestarday i went over a speed bump, The engine got real deep, rattled alot, and died, I dont know much of anything about cars, its my first subaru, I looked under the hood, And found the left tensioner on the ground, I tried to put it back on, and it looks right, but the car wont start, and by chance it starts, it runs Really bad and dies unless the petal is to the floor, and then it only goes to 3k rpms, i have a vacuum gauge, and the pressure is reading zero. Any idea's? =\
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
Welcome! The oil pan didn't get Damage, isn't it? Sounds like a Bad Timing in one of the Heads... if so, Look ~► Here. Also I Kindly Suggest you to Upload Pictures of the damaged Area here, in order to Better Understand the Situation. Kind Regards. Edited May 4, 2012 by Loyale 2.7 Turbo To add the Web Link. Subaru Newbie
I dont see any damadge to the oil pan, But upon closer inspection, the right head where the belt connects to, behind that is a shaft going into the engine, and on the shaft is a black seal just hanging there, im not sure if it was there before, but is it possible that came from inside the engine?
