Subaru Newbie
Hi, i have a 1985 subaru gl wagon, I was doing a little mudding a few days ago, then yestarday i went over a speed bump, The engine got real deep, rattled alot, and died, I dont know much of anything about cars, its my first subaru, I looked under the hood, And found the left tensioner on the ground, I tried to put it back on, and it looks right, but the car wont start, and by chance it starts, it runs Really bad and dies unless the petal is to the floor, and then it only goes to 3k rpms, i have a vacuum gauge, and the pressure is reading zero. Any idea's? =\ Sorry for duplicate post, my last title might not get the point across

heartless
yup, if the tensioner fell off, it is pretty much a guarantee it jumped time. Follow the link posted above and you can set it right again - excellent write up.
