thecoolmankyle1
My dad has had subarus my whole life and scored in finding a 1 owner 50k mile GL-10 4wd E82t wagon. Its been parked for several years (original owner died). He bought it not running, brought it home changed all the fluids, found the fuel pump not working, changed it and the fuel filter. Still not starting. Checked the injectors and have also tried to swap the ECU. Its getting spark but not starting. It turns over coughts a couple of times and dies. It never takes off running. Prwa101
Something like this happend to my loyale, (not a turbo) but had the sale rocket arm set up. It won't start worth anything, I thought it was fuel, wasnt. Turns out it had been sitting for a whiiiile 2years. And when I turned it over valves got stuck which made the rocker arms fall off there mount. And having the valve stuck open was letting gas flow right through out the exahst and poping up the intake. -do a compression test, compression tests tell a lot about the car. Wright the numbers down you get in Psi and let us know what they were. and it's a good start from where your already at. Hope this helps! -Prwa

Prwa101
The engine ground? Right by the starter, hooked up under the starter/engine bolt.
AKghandi
hmm.. does it get fuel from the filter? if so check the fuel pressure regulator. it might be drowning your car. and being a turbo with lower c/r being flooded will cause it not to start. especially because they run higher fuel pressure and mpfi pull the fuel pump fuse(or unplug the fuel pump) and crank it with it floored till it starts.(for a sec anyways) it may take a few tries. but if it has spark fuel and compression then the only thing wrong is the mix. also try redoing this but with the maf unplugged instead of the fuel pump. when i got my loyale it had a recent new fuel pump. so the next weakest link went bad-->FPR so i swapped it and all is well. Hope you figure it out! and get us some pics of it!
