Horrible miss on 89 Sub GL

Recommended Posts

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

I have a horrible miss & chugging on my EA82 89 Sub, 250K miles, it will sometime clear up & run like a champ for a day, or a couple of hours, but then this miss comes back to haunt me. It does not miss in the driveway, under any rpms, just under load, when driving at about 1500 - 3000 rpms.

I have changed all of the below:

spark plugs

spark plug wires

rotor

cap

fuel injector (only the injector, not the whole unit)

fuel filter

air filter

coil

It seemed to ok for about a week after I changed the fuel injector, but now is hit & miss. Any other ideas? I am ready give up & park it.:banghead:

Mass air flow sensor its the sensor on the airbox. If you unplug it it will go into a default setting so if its bad the miss will dissapear if it isnt it wont

When you unplug it the check engine light will come on.
