DrFrankenSoob
Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. I have a horrible miss & chugging on my EA82 89 Sub, 250K miles, it will sometime clear up & run like a champ for a day, or a couple of hours, but then this miss comes back to haunt me. It does not miss in the driveway, under any rpms, just under load, when driving at about 1500 - 3000 rpms. I have changed all of the below: spark plugs spark plug wires rotor cap fuel injector (only the injector, not the whole unit) fuel filter air filter coil It seemed to ok for about a week after I changed the fuel injector, but now is hit & miss. Any other ideas? I am ready give up & park it. Edited May 11, 2012 by DrFrankenSoob
ABawm 88 GL
Is fuel coming out the tailpipe when its idling? I really don't know much about engines but that would be a huge clue

DrFrankenSoob
EA82 engine. It misses at 1500 - 3000 rpms, but only under load, when driving. It'll rev fine in the driveway under any rpm. What is maf?
AKghandi
Mass air flow sensor its the sensor on the airbox. If you unplug it it will go into a default setting so if its bad the miss will dissapear if it isnt it wont When you unplug it the check engine light will come on.
